Under the impetus of its Sovereign, HSH Prince Albert II, Monaco rhymes with sustainability.

Its commitment to protecting the environment is driven by actions led by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. It includes the launch of the SEA Index® by the Yacht Club de Monaco and Credit Suisse; the first carbon footprint index for superyachts of +40m, targeting environmental goals to reduce carbon emissions in the Yachting sector.

The Principality is also a land of innovation, as a role model providing access to technology including 5G, blockchain and a unique ecosystem, and as a state committed to the digital transition through Extended Monaco. The overarching aim is to build the final links in the efficiency connected mobility chain, to improve the living environment through interaction with residents and to achieve better control of urban planning and key environmental markers.

Supported by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, the Government’s digital transition programme, Extended Monaco and Yacht Club de Monaco through its La Belle Classe certification, the 2nd Monaco Smart & Sustainable rendezvous is on 25-26 September 2022.
